John is a results-oriented healthcare professional who brings over 30 years of experience in clinical orthopedics, health insurance, and hospital systems to create strategic and tactical solutions for hospital systems.

He works with his clients to develop strategies that increase their revenues by leading operational and financial engagements to achieve their systems goals with solutions based on their unique markets and dynamics.

Prior to consulting, Mr. Montaine served as a senior hospital executive for two multi-facility integrated Texas hospital systems, and he served in senior executive roles developing and running national and regional health plans in Texas and Florida.

Mr. Montaine has been a member of HFMA since 1999 where he achieved the nation’s highest score on HFMA’s certification exam for Managed Care in 2008. He started with the Gulf Coast chapter where he was as an officer, Board member, and committee chair, before moving to the South TX chapter in 2003 where he was the South Texas Chapter President for 2009-10.

He has been awarded the Follmer Bronze, Reeves Silver, and Muncie Gold merit awards and was awarded the Medal of Honor by the South Texas Chapter in 2011. He continues to serve the South Texas Chapter on the Texas statewide committee and on the Region 9 planning committee.

In addition to his Fellow status in HFMA, Mr. Montaine holds a certification in Risk Management from the American Academy of Health Law and has been a Diplomat of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians since 1996.

He serves on the BOD of the San Antonio Rugby Football Club where he enjoys playing Rugby as time permits, and scuba diving with his wife of over 30 years. They have 3 adult children.

Kurt Mosley serves as Vice President of Strategic Alliances for Merritt Hawkins, the nation’s leading physician search and consulting firm, and a company of AMN Healthcare, the largest healthcare staffing organization in the United States. Mr. Mosley served as Contributing Editor to Merritt Hawkins’ highly regarded book “Will the Last Physician in America Please Turn off the Lights,” and was an expert adviser to the Health Care Advisory Board’s white paper “Transforming Primary Care.” In addition, Mr. Mosley has keynoted healthcare staffing roundtables for the U.S. Army, the American Society of Healthcare Journalists, and the prestigious “Let My Doctor Practice” conference. A nationally noted speaker and a member of the globally recognized Executive Speakers Bureau, Mr. Mosley has addressed over 90 healthcare professional organizations over the last two years reaching over 6,500 industry leaders. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Mr. Mosley spent several years in professional baseball and now resides in Dallas, Texas.

Tamie is an Assistant Administrator at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She is responsible for the continuity of revenue cycle processes across SMC hospital departments and clinics in addition to providing oversight for consolidated business office services. Prior to joining SMC in 2009, Tamie enjoyed a successful consulting career assisting hospitals and clinics nation wide to implement improved business processes and realize the importance of providing patient focused business services to their communities. Tamie also served as Director of Patient Financial Services at 2 facilities within a large Oklahoma health system for more than 10 years.

Ms. Young’s career history in leading health care teams to achieve dramatic operational and receivable improvement also leads her to public speaking and education engagements where she is honored to share her knowledge and passion for the healthcare revenue cycle.

Tamie is a Past President of Oklahoma’s Healthcare Financial Management Association chapter and served on HFMA’s National Advisory Council. Tamie also volunteers as a board member of a local community health clinic serving Stillwater’s uninsured.

Michael Salvatore, MD, FACP received his MD from the University of Arizona in 1977. His post-graduate training 1977 – 1982 was at Duke University. He practiced Critical Care Medicine for 30 years before becoming a full time PA at Beebe Healthcare in 2012. He has been married for 47 years and has 2 daughters. When not working as a PA, he is watching birds or walking the dog with his wife.

After completing his residency at the University Of South Carolina School Of Medicine Dr. Baker was the founding and managing partner in Piedmont Physicians for Women an OB/GYN practice for 32 years. He has extensive background in managed care and contracting while acting as the President of an IPA and Chairman of the Board of a regional PHO. Initially serving as a part time Physician Advisor doing mainly second level reviews took on the role as a full time Physician Advisor and Medical Director for Case Management and CDI in 2014. Responsibilities also include denials management for Self Regional Healthcare a regional hospital in Greenwood, SC. Dr. Baker serves on several committees including Co-Chair of the Finance Committee for My Health First an upstate South Carolina ACO, Corporate Compliance Committee for My Health First, Governmental Affairs Committee ACPA as well as several committees at the South Carolina Hospital Association. He was also appointed to the inaugural class of “Hirsch’s Heroes” in 2015 for his work with the process to file complaints with CMS against Medicare Advantage Plans. He joined the Board of Directors for the American College of Physician Advisors in 2017.

Donnah Mathews, MD, FACP, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Alpert School of Medicine for Brown University, is a board-certified physician in both internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. She is an attending internist at Rhode Island Hospital, overseeing internal medicine residents on inpatient medicine wards and consultation services. She is the Medical Director of Clinical Management, serving as a physician advisor for Rhode Island Hospital. She also is an Associate Medical Director for Hope Hospice, overseeing a hospice team, performing long term care and home visits for patients, and supervising residents and fellows. She additionally serves at the Chief Compliance Officer for Brown Medicine.

Her undergraduate degree is from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she studied English, chemistry, and modern dance. She attended George Washington Medical School in Washington, D.C., and did her residency at Brown University in Providence, RI. She currently resides in East Greenwich, RI.

Day Egusquiza is President of AR Systems, Inc. and brings over 38 years experience in health care reimbursement, hospital business office operations, contracting and compliance implementation. During her 20 years as Director of Revenue and Reimbursement at a community hospital in Idaho, she also was Director of a Physician Medical Management billing service, where she completed an integrated business office between a hospital and a large physician clinic. Her work includes providing guidance as a compliance & APC educator while providing operational insight on the revenue cycle impacts of RAC/Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors. Ms Egusquiza is a nationally recognized speaker on continuous quality improvement (CQI), benchmarking, redesigning, reimbursement systems and implementing an operational focus of compliance – both in hospitals and practices. She has been on the AAHAM National Advisory Council, HFMA National Advisory Council, and is a past President of the Idaho HFMA Chapter & recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Attendees at HFMA’s ANI rated her in the top 25% for each year she has presented, earning her the ‘Distinguished Speaker’ award.
